Very surprised I didn't have any problems with Library Elf. I signed up. I have one item checked out so I'll wait to see what happens.

After looking at all the discovery resources I ended up playing with "Framer," "Movie Poster," and "Magazine Cover." I ended up spending a lot of time on the "Movie poster" and then was interruped so the page timed out. Started over again with Framer. I did not like the AVATAR -- seems a little creepy to me.

Finally finished Week 4, #9

I looked at each search tool for finding newsfeeds. I didn't really have preference. I guess it's more the format of Topix that I preferred over the others. Today I added BBC, Reuters, and Washington Post.

Obviously, I Didn't Read All of the Instructions for #8 and #9

Finished reading all of the instructions for this exercise--still more to due--will have to wait until tomorrow.

Week 4, #8 and #9

Learned about RSS feeds and set up an account. Added MSNBC - money and health, the Daily Show and CNN. Now all I have to do is remember to look at them. Since I'm not able to view the evening news, except at 10:00 p.m., I feel like I miss a lot of information. I'm hoping I will be more informed this way. If I do remember to look at it regularly, I may add more news sites.

Week 3, #7 the "after" picture

I'm very proud of myself. After complaining that I needed more instructions on how to add my "edited" photo to my blog, my coworker said she figured it out on her own. I took up the challenge and after much eye strain, giving up, starting again, giving up again, more eye strain, stopping, and THINKING, I finally did it!

Had fun with Retrievr and Colr Pickr. I doubt that I will ever make use of most of the tools I looked at, but then that's what I said about ATM's, cell phones, and many other things.

This is my friend's doberman. Although she is very old now (the doberman) and finding it hard to get up, she still manages to find the energy to sniff out gophers and dig furiously to hunt them down.

Brain Dead

Well, I've created a flickr account and have uploaded my photo selections. Now I have to figure out how to get them on my blog. This morning, my brain is not functioning very well, or maybe it's the sinus headache. Maybe after some lunch and a diet coke I'll be good to go.
